Leazes Park Lake is where it all began for the LPAA. This mixed fishery is based in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. The water contains roach, tench, bream, gudgeon and carp some of which have recently broke magical 20lb mark. Day tickets are available for Leazes from all local tackle shops and from the kiosk on site but these must be bought before fishing. Leazes is accessible for those with limited mobility but parking is controlled by a permit system and is available to members only. If you would like more information about fishing Leazes Park please email lpaa@hotmail.co.uk |
The LPAA also has a small lake in Durham known as Forrester’s Pond. This lake offers, amongst other species, specimen perch to over 1Lb. The lake is a real “bolt hole” and offers peace, tranquillity and the chance to catch some unknown monsters. If you would like more information about fishing Forrester's Pond please email lpaa@hotmail.co.uk |

Recently the LPAA has also gone into partnership with another local fishing club called the four in one, to share a lake at Thornborough near Corbridge, Northumberland. This lake based as it is in the Northumberland countryside offers the chance to fish for a real “mixed bag” with all the major coarse species represented in breath taking scenery. If you would like more information about fishing Thornborough Pond please email lpaa@hotmail.co.uk |
TAA Waters |
Leazes Park Angling Association is proud to affiliate to the Tyne Anglers Alliance. The TAA brings together angling clubs from across the region to share support and advice and to give a unified voice for coarse angling in the North East. Our affiliation to the TAA also allows our members to fish TAA waters. Below is a breif outline of the TAA waters members can fish. It should be remembered though that whilst fishing any TAA water anglers must carry their LPAA membership book. For more information about the TAA click here |
These two lakes are regularly stocked and the large lake in particular is developing into a very good fishery. There is a very good natural recrutment in the large lake with the Roach in particular spawning very successfully. The lakes contain carp, bream, roach, tench, perch, crucians, rudd and pike. There is wheelchair access all along the southern bank of the larger lake. |
